More Data about Stryde-related Bone Lesions from Dr Giotikas
We are pleased to announce that the abstract of the research on the biocompatibility of Stryde, that Dr Giotikas presented at the Annual Meeting of British Limb Reconstruction Society (BLRS) in March 2022 in Brighton UK, has now been published in Bone& Joint Orthopaedic Proceedings Journal.
Concluding his talk, Dr Giotikas said:
“… In my view, it is a scientific ethical duty of all surgeons with high volume of Stryde cases to contribute objective data to the expanding knowledge about this serious problem of Stryde…We are currently working on extracting more data from our Stryde cases…”

Dr Giotikas commented:
“It has been a very pleasant and interesting meeting. I had the opportunity to catch up with old friends that we have worked together in the past. There was a lot of hands-on clinical and surgical experience concentrated in the room as most participants have been front-line surgeons for many years. The complexity and resultant rarity of the clinical cases though, as well as the recent only introduction of Stryde and BΤ Nails, meant that there is lack of published clinical evidence, which is eagerly awaited.”
