Dr Giotikas’s invited lecture at the International Precise Surgeons Symposium 2019 was about: “The Human Body Proportions in the Pre-operative Planning of Cosmetic Limb Lengthening”.

The lecture received very positive comments by a multi-national audience of esteemed surgeons specializing in limb reconstruction with Precise and  Stryde nails and other methods.

Many of them congratulated Dr Giotikas for this original research project and the discussion that followed focused on the appropriate patient selection process, the management of  their expectations and what constitutes aesthetically acceptable proportions.

Dr Giotikas commented:

“It has been a very pleasant and interesting meeting. I had the opportunity to catch up with old friends that we have worked together in the past. There was a lot of hands-on clinical and surgical experience concentrated in the room as most participants have been front-line surgeons for many years. The complexity and resultant rarity of the clinical cases though, as well as the recent only introduction of Stryde and BΤ Nails, meant that there is lack of published clinical evidence, which is eagerly awaited.”
