Please arrange payment of the remaining balance for your orthopaedic surgery no later than 20 working days prior to your scheduled procedure date at Mediterraneo Hospital, Athens. Final confirmation of your surgery, hospital admission and operating schedule can only be secured once full payment has been received.

Terms and Conditions – Final Balance Payment

1. The remaining balance for surgery must be paid in full no later than 20 working days before the scheduled surgery date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. If the surgery is permanently cancelled by the patient within less than 20 working days of the scheduled surgery date, any payments already made may be partially retained to cover hospital, administration, surgical planning and pre-operative costs incurred.
3. If the surgery is postponed due to illness, cancelled flights, temporary medical issues, force majeure or other circumstances outside of our control, the balance paid will remain credited to the patient account for up to two years and may be transferred to a new surgery date within this period.
4. In the unlikely event that the surgery must be postponed or cancelled by the surgeon or hospital for medical, operational or safety reasons, all payments made will remain fully transferable to a rescheduled surgery date.
5. Patients are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit for surgery and for arranging appropriate travel insurance, visas, flights and accommodation where required.
6. By paying the remaining balance, you confirm that you understand and agree to the above terms and conditions.
